Volunteer at the Adriatic Dolphin Project - Lošinj

The Blue World Institute of Marine Research and Conservation is a group of scientists and educators aiming to carry out scientific research and conservation projects and promote environmental awareness. Research on the wild free ranging bottlenose dolphin populations of the Adriatic Sea is now conducted for over two decades. Throughout these years, the Eco-Volunteering program has played an important role in longevity of the research and the conservation. Joining the program, you will help to collect scientific data during field research and store them in databases, especially in summer season when the weather conditions are stable and number of observations is high. All the data are used for monitoring the population of this endangered species and taking measures for their protection. In return for your help, Blue Worlds Institute staff will try to make your stay the best experience, not just by enabling you to observe these wild animals from close proximity but also by creating a team where you will meet people from all over the world, from different occupations and cultures. You will see new places and be able to explore the beauty of the island of Lošinj and the archipelago.
